UNIFIED VIBRATIONAL MODEL (UVM) — READ ME FIRST

WHAT THIS IS

UVM is a philosophical thought experiment and a prompt for

AI chat assistants. It gives the AI a shared vocabulary of

metaphors (waves, resonance, signals, currents) for

thinking through questions about identity, relationships,

memory, habits, change, and meaning.

Every answer comes in two parts: a technical analysis

using the model's vocabulary, followed by a warm,

plain-English translation anyone can follow.

WHAT THIS IS NOT

- It is not science. The physics-sounding terms are

metaphors, and the prompt instructs the AI to keep them

separate from real evidence.

- It is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice.

- It is not a religion or spiritual teaching, and it does

not speak for any cultural or religious tradition.

- It does not settle questions about God, the soul, or

life after death. It can only help you think about them.

HOW TO USE IT

1. Copy the full UVM prompt file.

2. Paste it into your AI assistant, either as a system

prompt or custom instructions (best), or as the first

message of a new conversation.

3. The AI will reply: "UVM lens active."

4. Ask your question.

USEFUL COMMANDS

- "Exit UVM" turns it off. You can turn it back on at

any time.

- Start a message with [ELDER VOICE], or ask for

"the elder voice," for a slower, warmer, kitchen-table

style of answer.

- You can ask for other voices too, such as a sea

captain or a tavern keeper.

- Ask for "plain only" if you just want a simple answer

without the technical part.

BUILT-IN SAFEGUARDS

Some rules can't be switched off from inside a

conversation. The AI will always separate metaphor from

evidence, stay even-handed on political and group

questions, set the model aside if someone seems to be in

crisis, and gently remind users that UVM's metaphors are

not literal facts about their minds or bodies.

WHICH AI TO USE

UVM works best with a capable, current AI model. The

prompt is roughly 4,700 words, so very small or free-tier

models may follow it less reliably or run short on space.
